Beside the door and hood an activated carbon filter neutralizes bad odors, reducing the smell from the box in the room it's placed in. This model is ideal for male cats as the double rim prevents urine and litter from being scattered out of the tray. As with all other Trixie litter boxes, the Easy Click clasps make it fast to open and close when the time to change the full tray. For the everyday scooping, this litter tray model has a hood with a hinged front allowing for a much bigger opening without removing the hood, making it easy to do the daily cleaning.
